為了回應北韓核試，南韓國防部表示，空軍F-15K戰機在12日首度發射「金牛座」（Taurus）遠程空對地飛彈。

根據韓聯社（Yonhap）報導，南韓空軍宣布昨(12)日成功進行金牛座遠程空對地飛彈的首次實彈發射。金牛座飛彈最大射程500公里，從南韓中部上空的F-15K戰鬥機上發射，便可以精確打擊遠在平壤的戰略設施。

KEPD 350金牛座空對地飛彈由德國和瑞典合作研發，由歐洲飛彈動力集團(MBDA)旗下的金牛座系統(Taurus-systems)公司生產，採用一具威廉斯(Willams)公司 P8300-12渦輪扇發動機；導引模式包括全球定位系統(GPS)/地形參考系統、主動雷達尋標器。金牛座飛彈最大射程500公里、飛行速度約0.95馬赫。

金牛座飛彈用戶有德國和西班牙、南韓等，可從飆風(Rafale)戰機、颱風(Typhoon)戰機、JAS-39戰機、F-15K與F/A-18戰機上發射。南韓軍方在2013年採購170多枚金牛座飛彈，其中數十枚已在空軍實戰部署，去(2016)年10月初決定再購買90枚。金牛座飛彈除可以精確打擊北韓軍事設施，必要時更可以發揮斬首北韓領導金正恩用途。
